Elitebook 820 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new HP Elitebook 820 G3 doesn't work when I connect the displayport to my Panasonic Viera using a Displayport to HDMI converter...

My old work Elitebook 820 G1 works fine using the same cable and converter... and my new G3 works fine with my old LG TV... crazy!!!...

From DP to HDMI you don't need a converter. You can use DP-HDMI direct. Please try a new cable.

Regards.

thanks for your advice Banhien... when I say converter, I just mean a short cable with male displayport one one end and female HDMI on the other end... but I’m pretty sure it’s not the cable... I have three tvs, an old medium size, a new medium size and a small... and two HDMI cables... all works fine except on my new tv... neither cable works on my new tv... it’s a Panasonic TX-40CS520B... also, my old Acer laptop which had HDMI worked fine on my new tv... all very weird to me!...
