Chrome OS

So a bit of an odd one here... Our fleet of ~ 300 HP 14 G5 Chromebooks has begun to have an issue this summer. As I am opening them to begin updating them for the upcoming school year, I am noticing that nearly every single device will not boot normally. I can see a very dim Chrome symbol as the boot begins, and then it goes to black. For some of the devices, tilting the screen / device at the right angle can cause it to boot normally. I have tried replacing the LCD display cable to no avail. This doesn't completely surprise me as 95% of our LCD cables going bad at the same time is statistically improbable. Has anyone had a similar issue?
