HP 15-BW033WM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My nephew (he's autistic) broke the screen on his laptop and I am going to replace it for him for Christmas.  I've read that the digitizer is actually embedded into the screen; is that true?

Any help is always appreciated!

Hi,

Yes the panel has the touch embedded in the panel itself (one part) and the part number for the screen is 809612-013

You can find online by searching with part number.

On page 70 of service manual you can see how to remove the bezel, then on page 72 point 3, how to remove the actual panel.

Hope it helps,

David

Thanks so much for the reply!  I just wanted to make sure they actually made embedded digitizers before getting hornswaggled on eBay or elsewhere lol.
