Few days ago my laptop's display went all pink and green lines. Prior to that, it already had a pink line that was of about the taskbar height over the taskbar. But on 30th of September (2020), it went all pink, the entire display was/had turned pink (or got a pink lines filer).
But today it is stuck like this :

WhatsApp Image 2020-10-10 at 22.14.35.jpeg

The lines keep getting thick and thin according to whats on the display (I have kept it in mirror mode with the monitor).

I can't find a replacement display panel on the internet. Help!

Additional information: The laptop's display used to show up as sdc4951 on some display/lcd info application.

@amosthecoolboy

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

Let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
