HP Recommended
Elitebook830 G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

WANT:

I want to connect my business laptop to two screens.

PRODUCTS:

2x 24ea monitor https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05245440

-1xVGA

-1xHDMI

1x Elitebook830 G8  https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=336D0EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB

-2xThunderbolt™ 4 with USB4 Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4)
-2xSuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (1 charging)
-1xHDMI 2.0b

SITUATION:

I can connect 1xscreen without an issue using a direct HDMI-HDMI cable and ports.

I connected a second screen using a HDMI-HDMI cable with a HDMI-USBC converter from Monitor HDMI to Laptop USBC.

This worked until an update on the laptop was conducted and now it does not.

I bought: HDMI-USBC direct cable (as the converter seemed poor), this did not connect the second screen.

I also bought a HDMI-USBA cable, trying a different port on the laptop, this did not connect the second screen,

What do I need to do?

It really shouldn't be this difficult to connect HP to HP products.
