Hi @YonnyJacko,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I can guide you through the steps to troubleshoot your HP Envy laptop's touchscreen issue. Since diagnostics show the touchscreen is working but it's unresponsive, follow these steps carefully:
1. Confirm Your Device Has a Touchscreen
- Press Windows + S, type "View pen and touch info", and open it.
- If it says "No pen or touch input is available for this display", your device may not have a touchscreen.
2. Enable or Reinstall the Touchscreen Driver
- Press Windows + X → Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices.
- Right-click HID-compliant touch screen:
- If you see Enable, click it.
- If not, click Uninstall device, then restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
3. Calibrate the Touchscreen
- Search for "Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input" in Windows.
- Go to the Display tab → Click Setup → Choose Touch input.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Run Windows Update
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
5. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Download and run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support tool
- Run the Touchscreen Test under Component Tests > Input Devices.
6. Check for BIOS or Firmware Updates
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your laptop model.
- Install any available BIOS or firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
