HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-ea0000 (1Q877AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi there

Ive been using an external monitor via USBC port on my laptop. It stopped working a couple of months after i bought it, but was able to get it going again via VGA to USBC connector. It then started working again with the original USBC cable and now is not recognising any cable at all. If i plug the monitor into another laptop with same cables it is fine, so isolated to laptop.

I've read some forums and took the initiative to update BIOS and graphics card driver. Also stopped USBC ports from going to sleep. None of this has resolved. Can i get some help?

Thanks

Josh

Hi there

Installed all as prescribed following sequence etc, including reboots. Despite this, still no monitor being detected with three different cables (that work on other laptops, as does the monitor).

Next?

Hi there

All tests passed.

I have also done a full restore of my PC and wiped all applications and data, the problem is still there. The port recognises my phone but doesn't recognise any monitors.

What's next?

Thanks

Josh

(2) You have already completely reinstalled the system. Since it still does not work, there is a technical defect.

HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support for service repair

HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

Good luck
