I have a HP 15s-eq2142AU laptop...does this model support two external displays?  I can have one operating but not the second display, I could do this easily with my very old and cheaper Acer, I have tried all the settings and nothing works, can anyone answer this issue for me please?

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/c07970827

It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

     Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,

Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                    USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
