Product: Pavilion 15T-cs300

Hi all - i just received my new laptop and was trying to hook up my spectre E27 monitor and it's not recognizing it.  i made sure that the source input was on the correct HDMI setting but the computer is not recognizing it. Just to make sure the HDMI port was working i attached to my TV and it worked fine.  i then checked to see if the monitor was bad by hooking up the HDMI cable from the monitor to my old HP PC and it worked fine. I even went as far as swapping one spectre monitor for another but got the same result.  Not sure what to check next.
