HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

For some reason my external Acer monitor suddenly stopped working with my HP convertible when using HDMI cable. At some point it has just turned off and never turned back on again. To be clear:

- it's been working for about 3 weeks and suddenly stopped

- HDMI cable is fine - as above, it's been working, I also checked it with my tv and was fine, also tried another HDMI cable (same issue)

- I checked the convertible with my tv and, surprisingly, everything is fine

- I also checked my convertible with another monitor - did not work

I tried multiple troubleshooting tips, nothing helped: reinstalling video adapter drivers, monitor drivers, hell I even resetted  my win 10.

Is it possible that the HDMI port works with TV's but not with monitors? Is it software or hardware issue?

I would really appreciate help as I'm not willing to send the laptop for repair - everything else is fine and it's my daily workstation.

Thanks!
