That part is optional, it is for select products only (see page 12 of the manual). Did you buy option to include Finger print reader/censor part for your machine ?
If you wish, you can add the reader to your machine using
Fingerprint reader assembly (includes cable) part # 849912-001
Manual also shows you how to add
