Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Whenever I shutdown my laptop while plugged in with power. the screen just starts flickers while powered off  and also still plugged in. Its really annoying but it might also be some problems and damages that I don't know. Any clue of why this is happening to my notebook?

Hey there! @Havrian,

Does the issue persist on the BIOS page?

Have you tried checking with an external monitor? Does the issue persist?

Update Windows to the latest version and check if it helps.

Uninstall the graphics driver from the device manager and install the latest drivers and BIOS using HP support assistant.

Note: After uninstalling the graphics driver the resolution will change and everything appears bigger.

If you still have issues, try updating the graphics driver using this link. Click Here

Lastly, Try running a system diagnostics test and select video test from the component test on the PC and check if the hardware components on the PC are functioning correctly.

Let me know if this works!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
