Elitebook 840 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using Elitebook 840 G2 with windows 10 64bits

Only Fn+F6/F7 works

Fn + F9/F10(Brightness) and Fn + F8 not work

I found lots of solution about this problem, such as HP Quick Launch Buttons, Hp System Event utility etc.

However, all of those drivers do not suitable for Elitebook 840 G2.

How can i solve this problem now?????

Hi,

Solution: at Elitebook 840G2 you need to install the hotkey driver: 5.0.27.1 A (file sp66562.exe)
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_135423_1

NOT the latest driver that looks softpaq.

Hotkey driver 5.0.27.1 A is dedicated to a different machine models (not for 840G2), but it works 🙂

When HP si going to improve a dedicated Hotkey driver (correst the bugs) ???

Regards

Confirmed. Work for me on Win7x64.

But the graphic resolution does not meet Full HD
