Whenever my laptop is in charging position and when I touch my laptop, I feel some current shock from my laptop.

You have a grounding problem. The static electricity on your desk cannot dissipate.
Use an anti-static guard spray. Spray the disk, your chair and the carpet or area about the desk.
Optionally, on in addition, get an antistatic mat that is designed for laptops to set on. Not the electronics repair type mat.
This can easily damage your laptop.
