Hi Community, my screen was replaced after the original got damaged but the new one doesn't work. I'm currently using an external monitor.
How can I get my screen to work again?
I await your advice, thank you.

Hi,
There could be some problems.
Have you tried toggling the F key to see if it is set to external monitor only? (usually F4 key)
Is this the screen you ordered with part number 645096-001
Example:
https://www.amazon.com/s?field-keywords=645096-001
Does it have same resolution and 40pin socket? It could be that the new screen is defective.
Did you follow the installation guide on page 62 of service manual?
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03138231
It could also be the display cable is either not completely attached or is defective (part number 646120-001)
I think it is definetly a hardware problem and not BIOS or Driver or GPU (since the eternal monitor is working)
Hope it helps,
David
