Microsoft Windows 11

Does the Type C for this computer support a docking station/adapter for dual monitors?

If not is there an adapter HDMI splitter that will work to support dual monitors?

Also, does this laptop have a setting to where I can close the laptop and just use an attached monitor?

So far I am finding the Type C is not working to split my monitor to my work laptop. I am able to support one monitor with through the HDMI port, but if I purchase a splitter will this all me to work from both monitor screens or just mirror?

I appreciate your assistance in advance.

Sincerely,

Alicia H

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c07029411

It ONLY has 1  SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

You can close the machine and only you an external monitor BUT you have to power machine first. The splitter gives SAME contents on BOTH monitors.

Regards.
