HP 15-r061ne Notebook PC (ENER
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am using 10.18.14.4414  Intel-HD driver for my  HP 15-r061ne Notebook . It has Nvidia Graphis card2GB and 6GB of Ram but while using just chrome for browsing system hangs and shows error with display driver.

 

I tried updating the driver from below URL but that didn't work

Tried installing driver from Intel site

But nothing worked out. Went to HP service center got to know that my PC isn't under warranty and the representative was suspecting some Hrdware issue. I tired HP hardware diagnostics and everything is working fine as per the utility.

 

Now I have disabled Intel driver but ater that I am not able to adjust the brighntness of the screen, it is more than 100% kind of directly powered.

 

Any help will be appreciated

I understand that your laptop is getting display driver error and you are unable to adjust the brightness of the screen.

 

Please update the latest Nvidia driver from Nvidia website below.

Also, update intel graphics from the link below.

 

Intel graphics driver link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72727.exe

 

Update the drivers and send me a picture of the display error.

Hi Chetan @MrRobot,

 

Thanks for replying, the solution you gave didn't worked.  Screenshot is pasted belowpackageissue.png

 

 

In Nvdia screen you can see I have update driver and second error window in front of Nvidia came after launching the package you mentioned as Intel HD graphics driver.

 

Please share the correct Intel graphics driver for the device.

Hi! @Vinay17, thanks for the reply.

 

Try running the file as an administrator. Right click on the setup file and click run as administrator.

Re-download the file and try again.

I ran the package(.exe) as Administrator but it didn't worked and apart from that as I told you Nvidia driver update was sucessful can you share link for Intel driver.

Please update the intel graphics from intel website using the link below.

Please uninstall all the components of Nvidia graphics driver. Restart your PC.

Run the Nvidia auto detect tool using the link below. It should automatically download and install the correct drivers for your computer.

I uninstalled all the graphic driver first then reinstalled the  new one you gave in the link but I am still facing the issue. 

 

Please let me know if you need any other info.

As you mentioned that you are still unable to install the drivers.

I would suggest you try performing a system recovery and check if this solves the problem.

Hi Chetan "@Mr.Robot",

 

I have installed the drivers successfully  and the brightness buttons are working fine but then comes the killer issue...Not able to browse internet open MS office basically whatever I do the screen frezes and I get the message "

Intel HD windows 8(R) Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

 

So again I have disabled Intel driver and using the PC at Brightness more than 100%. Please let me know if you need any details.

Hi! @Vinay17, Thanks for the reply and appreciate you trying the steps out.

 

Please try the steps mentioned below to fix the driver issue.

 

Press Windows + W keys on your keyboard to get the search option.
Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting.
Now click on view all option.
Click on Hardware and Device and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files, please follow the steps in the link provided below.

Note: System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. This article describes how to run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)to scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files in Windows 8.1 or Windows 8. If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

Then Open the NVIDIA Control panel (right click on desktop)
Set PhysX Configuration - default is Auto-select
Manage 3D settings - Global settings, Preferred graphics processor default is Auto-select, recommended to maximize laptop/tablet battery life
Manage 3D settings - Program settings. Pull down menu let me select the problem programs individually, and select the preferred graphics card for each - here is where I selected the High-performance NVIDIA processor instead of the Global setting (auto-select).

 

Also please follow the steps mentioned in the youtube link below to fix the issue.
