Chrome OS

I recently starting having a problem with nearly constant ghost touches registering on the touch screen of my convertible Chromebook x360 14-da0011dx. The only solution was to turn off the touchscreen using the ash-debug-shortcuts flag and Search+Shift+T. I'm currently running Chrome OS 83.0.4103.119.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? My device is 2 months past the 12-month warranty, and I am left with a touch screen convertible that can only be used a regular laptop. Given the other posts I have seen for this issue on HP Windows laptops, it makes me question HP's commitment to quality.

@bigbee68 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing a ghost touch issue.

Please perform the below steps and check.

  1. Reset your Chromebook hardware.
  2. Reset your Chromebook to factory settings.

Both the hardware reset and the powerwash failed to resolve the issue, but since the upgrade to 84.0.4147.94 I am no longer experiencing the issue.
