It comes with this keyboard part number:

 

M53848-001
SPS-TOP CVR W/KBDPM CP SR US
TOP CVR W/KBDPM CP SR US

 

Chapter 6 page 73 of the service manual indicates that part number is for a non- backlit keyboard.

Keyboard with top cover, not backlit   M53848-xx1

I wouldn't be able to answer your question regarding replacing the keyboard with a backlit one.

 

Please start a new discussion on that.

 

I believe that it is more complicated than simply installing a different keyboard part number that is backlit.
