HP EliteBook X360 1030 G3 Broken hinge and screen popped out
Product: HP EliteBook X360 1030 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My colleague just purchased a touch pen for this laptop/ tablet last week, and goes to try to use it for the first time today. As he flips the laptop lid around, the hinge broke ( heard a crack noise ) and now the display cable is not connected properly. Sometimes when putting pressure, the full screen comes back back, touch feature not affected. The screen pops out on the bottom right corner and will crack if i open or close the lid without being very careful.
We would like an explanation as to what possible could have happened. This is an early edition of other hybrid HP laptops in our company environment and we see this as a potential flaw as it was not dropped or anything, just normal use.
My colleague is the first to test this model within the company. So we would like to know if we should expect others to fail the same way and or if this is a known flaw. Anyone else experienced this. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
