I recently purchased the new HP Envy 13 aq0610nd (EU model/Netherlands) and even though everything else seems to be perfect the screen has terribly grainy whites. It almost looks like some pixels are white and some are grey, creating a very bad screen door effect/ it looks like there's dust on the screen. Calibrations and/or different color settings seem to have minimal effect. The other colors are fine, but considering a lot of web pages are mostly white it is still very distracting.
I would like to know it this is just how the screen always is, or if mine is a bad/defective model.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
If you continue facing the issue, boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 key on startup and check whether you can duplicate the issue in the BIOS screen.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
