Like many others, my HP Envy right hinge has been weak almost since purchase in 2021, and the screen has slowly been coming away from the laptop lid. I was informed by my repair shop that this is an extremely common structural fault, and I'm not happy. It has culminated in a cracked screen due to the hinge bending and pushing the screen away, so I'm now wary of even closing the lid lest it become worse. What are the steps I should take?
