HP envy 2 in 1 laptop - cannot find setting to toggle on and off of touch pad palm rejection. I have followed the suggestions I found via a google search but none of those take me to the setting. I am using Windows Pro version 23H2. It's frustration when I am typing and my palm inadvertently touches the track pad and it takes me places I don't want to go?

Hi @codger65,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing an inconvenience with your HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 11 Pro version 23H2. Palm rejection is a common feature in touchpad settings, but sometimes finding it can be a bit tricky, especially with different laptop models and operating system versions.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help you locate the palm rejection settings on your laptop:
Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the gear icon to open the Settings app.
Navigate to Devices: In the Settings app, click on the "Devices" category.
Select Touchpad: In the Devices menu, you should see a section for "Touchpad" on the left-hand side. Click on it to access touchpad settings.
Locate Palm Rejection: Look through the touchpad settings for an option related to palm rejection. It may be labeled as "Palm rejection," "Touchpad sensitivity," or something similar.
Adjust Palm Rejection Settings: If you find the palm rejection option, you can toggle it on or off depending on your preference. If you don't see it, don't worry; sometimes, the option might be buried within advanced settings.
Check Advanced Settings: Some laptops provide advanced settings for the touchpad that aren't immediately visible. Look for a link or button that says "Additional settings" or "Advanced settings" within the touchpad settings menu.
Look for Hp Software: HP laptops often come with additional software or utilities that offer more advanced touchpad settings. Check if there's any HP-specific software installed on your laptop that might provide palm rejection options.
Update Drivers: If you still can't find the palm rejection settings, it's possible that your touchpad drivers need to be updated. You can do this by going to the Device Manager, locating the touchpad device, right-clicking on it, and selecting "Update driver."
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello - thank you for your reply to my question.
I cannot find any of the suggested places to look and /or what I should see in each case? For example - in your first suggestion you say I should see a devices category but I only have a Bluetooth and devices listed on the left and when I open that up there is no touch pad listed? I have found touch pad settings in different places in the OS but none of them mention any palm rejection or similar terminology or offer any toggle to turn it off or on? The Synaptics touch pad driver is up to date and there does not appear to be any HP software to control the touch pad installed? Surely there must be a source that is laptop specific to find this setting from HP?
