Laptop is 3 years old and for no reason three screws for holding the hinge for the screen fell out with little bits of plastic. I researched that this is a common problem with the Envy x360. It is out of warranty (of course) and my Best Buy Total protection plan was cancelled for non-renewal last year. I contacted Geek Squad and they do not fix this in-house but would send it out. The cost for them to look at the laptop is $89 plus the hinge plus their labor. I'm trying to find out 1). Does anyone have an idea of about how much this will cost in total and 2). Because this is a known defect would HP fix it for me or reimburse me to have Geek Squad take care of it? There's nothing wrong with the computer otherwise, just wondering if it's worth the hassle or if we should just buy a new one. Thank you.
