Less than 2 years, the left hinge has broken and caused the screen to crack. I have kept this laptop on my desk for the last few weeks and have never used it in tablet mode during this time. Upon opening the lid up, I heard a crack and noticed the left hinge had separated from the screen. The laptop will not close. Luckily the computer is working fine (until who knows when), but this seems to be a recurring issue for many people with this laptop. It looks like a manufacturing/design defect.
