HP ENVY x360 Laptop -15t-ed000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a HP Envy X360 convertible on November, 2020. That laptop cost me around 900 bucks. My experience with the laptop was good until about a week ago, when the right hinge broke for no apparent reason while opening the laptop, two of the screws came out from that area and the screen around that hinge cracked and also cracked the screen around it. I did contact with one of the spokespeople from HP immediately, but to my dismay I was informed that it's reparable but I have to pay around 400 which is basically half the cost of the original product, as the warranty period was over 6 months ago. I can guarantee that I haven't mishandled the product in any way at all and the otherwise mint condition of the device can prove that claim. In the above circumstance, I am soliciting any suggestions/recommdation regarding what I am supposed to do now with this laptop. Going through the community I have come to know that this is a common design problem in hp laptops and I would sincerely appreciate if anyone from HP or user community can enlighten me with their experience and advice.
