HP Envy x360 not switching into tablet mode

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, Just bought envy x360 13-ay0095AU and having an issue with the 2-in-1 functionality. When flipping the screen it does not switch to tablet mode. Have already tried both settings (ask before switching on and off with no change).

I have noticed that if I restart the laptop it works just fine, but as soon as I close the lid of the laptop it stops working again until i completely restart the laptop.

I can manually put it into tablet mode, however auto rotate also doesn't work so not really a good workaround.

Windows is completely up to date and the latest drivers from the hp site have been installed. Any ideas?
