HP Envy x360 15-ee0002na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I reinstalled Windows through download after having problems with turning on my HP Envy.

Now, if I close the lid and do not switch off the laptop, and then open the lid, the screen does not switch or switches on with an extensive delay. I know the laptop itself is not off.

Any ideas as to how to fix this? Is this a hardware or software issue. On the otherhand, the screen wakes up normally from sleep.

*****EDIT****

Seems that the screen will come on when I push it right beyond 90 degrees for the screen to switch on. Also, if the battery discharges, it is a struggle to switch my laptop on. Pressing the power on button repeatedly does not seem to work.

Can someone assist? Is this a driver or a hardware issue?

Is there any method of setting the switch on angle?

Somebody please assist!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the power button is not working, and the laptop screen is not turning on when open the lid.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

If the power button is not working correctly, it is a hardware issue and I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer and they will also take care of the other issues on the computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
