Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No display just black screen,using HDMI cable enables external monitor to work only, if I plug & un plug the HDMI connector 10-20 times sometimes the Laptop display would come back on but not any more

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?

Let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting, 

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Has been an issue for some time so I have had to use HDMI to be able to use the laptop

NO UPDATES AVAIL FOR THE ATI HD MOBILITY 4200 GPU 

USING VERSION 8.970.100.9001 WHICH IS THE MICROSOFT WINDOWS 10 GENERIC GRAPHICS DRIVER THAT DOWNLOADS WHEN ONE UPDATES FROM W7/8 AS THERE ARE NO AMD UPDATES AVAIL FOR W10

 I HAVE RESOLVED THE LAPTOP NO DISPLAY ISSUE BY REPLACING THE CMOS BATTERY WHICH TESTED @ 2.7 VOLTS,THE NEW BATTERY INDICATED 3.2 VOLTS.
