Product: HP Laptop 15-bs131nr
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a laptop that is a couple of years old.  In the last week the hinge on the screen has broken, and the top of the laptop is separating from the screen.  This is a personal laptop that gets opened and closed very little, and never gets carried around.  It spends almost all of the time in the home office.  Is it common for the hinges on these laptops to fall apart, and the screens to separate?  Can I buy a new hinge and/or screen cover?  

 

My first HP product, and the hinge falls apart.
