Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After spending more than two hours searching for an answer to fixing my suddenly washed out screen, updating all my drivers, checking BIOS, and determining, due to the posts on this and other websites, that it had to be a hardware problem, when I took it to the teenager at my university's IT desk to get fixed, he said "OK, before I make up a work order ticket, did you bump the privacy button?"  And I said, "What privacy button?  No one on-line ever mentioned a Privacy Button, and I didn't even know I had such a thing."   He pressed the Privacy Button and my screen returned to it's previous glory.  My Question: How's about suggesting to people with this problem, "Did you accidently bump the Privacy Button?"  before telling them to do all the stuff I did yesterday?  That would have saved me a couple of hours I'll never get back.  (And kudos to the guy at MSMU's IT desk this morning.)
