My HP in built HP TrueVision HD Camera shows horizontal random noise kind of colored lines  over  the video image. I have checked with Camera App and also Google Meet. This is not a consistent behavior, not able to figure out the reason.  Guidance would be helpful.

Thanks Praveen for responding.

I checked that my PC is up to date with all the updates. Still the problem persists. Now it has become worse, it is just giving black screen and occasionally few lines. Please suggest.

@PranavB

I understand your concerns

In that case, I would suggets you perform the system reset.

Windows 10 has a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. This feature is recommended for recovery because it reinstalls Windows 10 while either preserving your personal data and customizations or removing all your personal data.

You have a choice of two methods to reset your computer.

  • If Windows 10 loads correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset in Windows in this document.

  • If Windows 10 does not start correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset through Windows Recovery Environment in this document.

Have a nice day!!

Thank You Praveen for responding. I will try the solution you suggested but have one query. My laptop has MS Office pre-installed.  When I do system reset will that get uninstalled, and if so how do you I install it again.

Please advise.

@PranavB

Thank you for posting back.

I am writing you on behalf of praveen196 as he is away from work and he suggested that I write to you concerning.

If you've purchased MS Office along with computer then you would have got email with activation key from store or from Microsoft.

Without activation key you won't be able to install MS Office software.

Hi, I have not purchased MS Office separately and installed it, as mentioned it has come pre-installed with my HP Notebook.
