Greetings,
Recently, i took my laptop to HP Service Center and had its mainboard replaced twice (i'm still in my warranty, and it's about to expire) due to blinking screen problem and the problem remains the same. Allow me to explain how my mainboard gets replaced twice.
At first, it was the windows installer package that won't allow me to uninstall an app. I tried every possible way and finally didn't want to go any further and brought it to HP Service Center. The service took like 2 weeks because they need to replace the mainboard without any clear reason (just by saying "there is a problem while they tested it (the laptop)"). After the first replacement with my laptop fully reset, this blinking problem with black screen and a cursor display started to happen (It's like first it blinks and the screen turns black with only cursor being displayed, blink again and back to normal display). It occurs so frequent that i decided to bring it back to HP Service Center and within 5 days after i hand it over to them they said the previous mainboard they just replaced has DOA function problem (i don't understand it because i'm not a computer guy). They replaced the mainboard again with the other one with total spent waiting time of 2 weeks and 2 days. Here i am right now with the problem remains the same.
I checked the Event Viewer >> Windows Logs >> Application at the time when this problem occurred and find out there are lots of same warnings and errors. Allow me to attach the picture below.
Here is the warning message :
Application 'C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\AD2F1837.OMENCommandCenter_1101.2505.6.0_x64__v10z8vjag6ke6\OmenCommandCenterApp\OmenCommandCenterBackground.exe' (pid 15760) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID..
Below the warning message, there is an error too. Here what it says :
Faulting application name: dwm.exe, version: 10.0.26100.3624, time stamp: 0xb9885ec0
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

Fault offset: 0x00007ffc4cce528f
Faulting process id: 0x5428
Faulting application start time: 0x1DBD18C61CB6427

Faulting module path: unknown

Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
I really don't know what to do with that warning and error message right now. I'm so frustrating thinking that if i send it back to HP Service Center they would give another mainboard replacement solution with the problem remains the same (?) and the waiting time will take like 2 weeks or more while right now i have lots of things running behind the schedule.
Please help me and sorry for my bad english

@mynameisgreg, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I'm really sorry you're having to deal with this—especially with a gaming laptop like the OMEN by HP 16.1, which is supposed to be a high-end device. Your frustration is completely understandable, especially after two motherboard replacements with no resolution, time lost, and the problem persisting.
Let’s break down the issue and walk through your next best steps.
Event Viewer Messages Explained
Warning: OMEN Command Center Background App
Application SID does not match Conductor SID is a permissions/token mismatch. This isn't usually critical but suggests the background app can't restart properly.
This could be causing or contributing to display instability if OMEN Command Center is handling performance/display-related tasks.
Error: dwm.exe Crashing
dwm.exe = Desktop Window Manager. It controls display composition (transparency, window animations, etc.)
Uninstall Current Graphics Drivers and OMEN Software
Press Windows + X → Click "Device Manager"
Expand "Display adapters"
Right-click each one → Click Uninstall device
Check the box "Delete the driver software for this device" if available.
Reboot your PC.
Open Settings → Apps → Installed Apps
Find and Uninstall:
OMEN Gaming Hub
OMEN Command Center
HP System Event Utility (optional for full reset)
Reboot again.
Download and Install HP Drivers
Go to HP’s official support page for your model:
Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
Enter your product:
OMEN by HP Laptop 16-wf0000 (755G1AV)
Download and install the following:
Graphics Drivers
HP System Event Utility
HP BIOS Update
Intel Chipset/ME Firmware Update (if available)
Reinstall OMEN Software
Go to the Microsoft Store
Search for OMEN Gaming Hub
Install it.
Do NOT install any "Optimizer" or "Performance" add-ons right away.
Test the system first to see if the problem returns.
HP Diagnostic Test
Boot into HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics (tap Esc at boot, then F2) and run:
Extensive Memory Test
Graphics Test
System Board Test
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
