HP Pavilion 15-p100ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I've got a problem.

videos and pictures are attached.

I have dead pixels in my screen as u can see in picture 1 and these grew day by day. So i googled this and it said i should massage it. So it gently rubbed the screen and it fixed it a bit as u can see in picture 2. There is another twitching problem on the bottom right of the screen as u can see in the picture 3. This just twitching as my move the screen to close the laptop or open it.

So now what do I do? Get a new replacement screen or any other fix u can tell? If so, what screen do I get?

I searched and found that screen size, resolution and backlight need to be same. As I'm not in the mood to open up my laptop, can u please tell me these specifications of my screen.

Ok Thanks for replying. It took a while but it's ok.

So my product number is K1R16EA#ABV

And do you  need the serial number?

Thank you for posting back.

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Ok So I checked the BIOS. And both the issues appear as it is on the BIOS too. What to do now?

Oh just please help me here. Tell me if I need a new screen or not? If so, what are the specifications of my screen?

I can't explain the whole issue again there at hp support.

To get the answer to this question, it sounds like a hardware related issue with the display in order to fix this you need to replace the screen.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

So where I live, it's hard to find the replacement screen. So what if I use a 40 to 30 pin connector and connect a 30 pin screen to my laptop which currently has a 40 pin screen? Will it work then?
