Wiped away the HP OEM Windows 10 operating system due to bloatware and reinstalled my own Windows 10 Home 64-bit. However, all function keys work except F2 & F3 which are supposed to control screen brightness. Pressing them will show the slider go up and down, but no change in the corresponding screen brightness, nothing visible happens to the screen. This is just very bad from HP.
I've tried everything, absolutely everything, so please don't regurgitate the same recommendation or links - I've removed Devices, Updated Devices, Disabled Devices, Installed NVidia MX130 drivers, and a dozen other things, but it just seems that windows 10 will not do anything with the screen brightness. I've even tried changing brightness in power settings, Nvidia toolbar icon and various other places, where they are "supposed to work", regardless of the hotkey, however they have no effect on screen brightness. This laptop screen brightness can NOT be changed by any means. There is something seriously wrong with HP and Windows 10 combination.
Now the funny bit, I booted off Ubuntu and Mint, they worked perfectly, screen brightness adjusted via F2 & F3 and via setup screens. So this is an embarrassing situation where Linux Kernels handle a HP "Windows 10" notebook better than the Windows 10 operating system handles this laptop.
I've tried to download the HP OEM drivers that came installed with the Notebook, but none exists, there are absolutely no software installed for this laptop on the HP support website. Why not?
This is driving me crazy and I'm about to throw this new notebook out the window or just put up a youtube video showing people how crap this system is. Please note the same problem has been raised on this site for around 5 years now, with various HP notebooks - mine is a 2019 model!
HP community, please tell me where to download drivers for this thing.

Hi:
You can find all of the drivers you need for your model at the link below.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-cs0000-laptop-pc/20284004
You do realize that you also need to install the Intel HD graphics driver, correct?
Your notebook has the nVidia/Intel switchable graphics, so you have to install both drivers in order for the graphics to work correctly.

Thanks Paul,
That solved the problem, very good. Little did I know that you need to use an obfuscated model number to get the driver for my notebook, yep, try one thats similar to your actual model and it may work with yours, is that the HP logic? The page showing my model speficially said "no software or drivers available for this product", see below quote and link. What is wrong with HP? I've never had any issue with past Dell or Acer laptops, this is the first setup that's beaten me. HP, please fix your support website!
"No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product homepage. "

You're very welcome.
