HP Pavilion 360x right hinge broke

My wife's HP pavilion laptop's right hinge broke.  The screen is cracked and broke.  This is over a year old.  Is this covered by warranty?  

I have noticed others who have this same problem.

I understand you are facing a hardware issue with your HP Pavilion Laptop. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To answer your question: Accidental Damages are not covered under regular warranty. The PC needs to be sent to HP Service Centre to get it repaired,  I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action.

Folks,

Please understand, this was NOT an accident.  My wife did not drop or otherwise damage the PC.  What happened is the two screws holding the right hinge to the upper (screen) printed circuit board loosened.  When the laptop was closed the hinge broke the screen.  MY GUESS is a LOT of HP Pavilion laptops have this same issue.
