HP Pavilion x360 - convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The screen of my HP Pavilion X360 - convertible (I5, 8th gen - 15 inch) won't turn on anymore. It does work when I connect it to an external monitor and I was able to complete the touchscreen test in the hardware diagnostics menu without a problem.

I also opened the notebook and at first sight every cable was still connected.

This started happening after the corner of the touchscreen hit the door of my room. It wasn't hard but it definitely had it's impact since from that moment the screen doesn't turn on anymore. .

This was my first time opening a notebook so I might have missed out on something.

Appreciate any help, thank you very much .

@Grasmaaier

I reviewed your post and I understand the laptop display is not working.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As you have mentioned that the display works fine on an external screen that confirms a hardware issue with the display. However, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, then I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊

Thank you for the response.

I did a BIOS update and updated the graphics drivers but unfortunately the problem hasn't been solved.

I will contact support and see what they say.
