Good night everyone,

For a couple of weeks now I've been having trouble with my notebook. It doesn't come out of sleep mode with any commands (click, keybord or on/off button). Meanwhile you see the light on, on the on/off button.

I've tried different tips regarding similar problems in other models like:

- Enable the keyboard to wake up computer from sleeping mode (from Device Manager)

- Updating all the drivers with the diagnosing tool

- Checking all the Devices are enabled and working ok (Device Manager)

- Running the HP PC Hardware diagnostics: no errors found.

I ran my antivirus aditionally and the Norton power eraser, and still nothing wrong.

I've ran out of ideas and cannot find the issue. Since everytime my computer goes to sleep I have to forcefully turn it off and then on again I keep losing work stuff and tipe. For the time beeing I've disabled sleeping mode but I would like to solve the issue.

If anybody had the same problem or has any good ideas I would really appreciate it.

Best Regards!

@GigaBachmann Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the laptop will not wake up from sleep mode.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Also, please update the BIOS and check.

Let me know how that pans out,
