HP ProBook 450 G3 (P5T14ET)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I will present the situation as follows:
I have HP Probook 450 G3 (P5T14ET), which has an HD display (TN LG LP156WHB-TPD3).
http://www.panelook.com/LP156WHB-TPD3_LG%20Display_15.6_LCM_overview_27130.html

I started browsing the web about the possibility of replacing my display with FHD, the most important thing for me is the IPS display.
I found one topic on the HP community.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-ProBook-450-G3-Screen-Upgrade/m-p/...

I checked which cable is in my laptop - DD0X63LC310. When searching the web, results are popping up that it is a replacement for DD0X63LC030 / 828418-001. It seems to be an eDP cable (2 Lanes), so I purchased an FHD display. I chose BOE NV156FHM-N42.
http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N42_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_26390.html

After connecting and turning on, the screen does not display correctly. During startup, the HP logo did not display, the screen seemed blank. However, after starting the system, I notice a subdued, barely noticeable image that is divided into 4 parts and overlapping one another. I entered the screen settings and the maximum resolution you can choose is 1366x768.

What could be the reason? Is this some kind of lock on the motherboard?

@qczu

The series ONLY has following options, no available/compatible part for FHD machine.

39.6-cm (15.6-inch) HD, 1366x768, 220 nits, 3.8 mm

eDP – flat
1 or 2 WLAN antennas, camera
1 or 2 WLAN antennas, camera, WWAN
Touch panel, 1 or 2 WLAN antennas, camera

Are you sure you bought a RIGHT and COMPATIBLE part ?

Regards.

Solved!!! The cable you need for FHD on the Probook 450 G3 must have part number DD0X63LC110 (2 lane eDP cable)

Be carefull when ordering or better ask first the vendor because some vendors sell this cable and send you another part number because they all work for HD panels

thanks all

note: @Rinsonline Im not 100% sure that DD0X63LC310 is a 2 lane cable.
