Hello HP Community,

I have a weird problem with a laptop of a client of ours. When the user does not use the laptop for only a couple of minutes, the laptop's screen turns black and does not respond to anything anymore. I have to shut it down forcefully to make the screen come back again.

The laptop is connected to two external monitors with a HP Port Replicator 3005pr. The problem occurs with the laptop screen and the monitors. When I disconnect the port replicator, the screen on the laptop itself does not come back. I eliminated the possibility that it has anything to do with energy saving settings in either the computer or the monitors itself.

Has anyone experienced any issues similar to this?

Thanks in advance for helping me out. Let me know if you need any more information.

Regards,

Jason
