HP Probook 450 G6

I have a ProBook 450 G6. I've bought the hp usb c mini dock but I cant get my hdmi monitor to work through the dock. The monitor works when its plugged directly into the laptop and everything else works through the dock. Laptop spec says displayport should work through usb c. Any ideas please?

Hello

the power supply connected to the Probook 450 G6 is 45W or 65W ?

bye

I've tried it with the 65w supply direct to the laptop and also a 35w pass through supply via the dock

Correction, both supplies are 65w

With 65W Power supply you should have any issue.

if you have a 65W PS with barrel connector , the HP USB-C mini dock (its color is grey light and dark) takes power from Probook 450 G6 and should able to send video signal to external monitor connected via HDMI

in case you use a 65W PS  with USB-C connector , is shlod be able to provide power to HP USB-C Mini Dock and Probook, and monitor connected via HDMI should work , just press Windows Key+P then select "Expand" icon on the right side of the screen.

Does your 450 G6 has only Intel Video card or it has also an Nvidia card ?

bye

The monitor will work when plugged directly into the laptop. I've just changed my settings so that the monitor works as the main screen and when I plug the monitor into the dock, the laptop screen switches to being the second screen so it recognises there is a monitor connected but the monitor is blank

I have an Nvidia card

hello

do you know someone who can lend you a 90W power supply for a test?

or could you try to disable, just for testing purpose ,if it's possible , the Nvidia card so it will work with the integrated Intel video card ?

bye
