Hello,
I can't get my HP Spectre Pro x360 G1 laptop to detect my HP Envy Sleekbook 6 by cable.
I want to extend the Spectre monitor to Envy. I was able to achieve this wirelessly but the quality of the resolution on the Envy was poor.
I have updated graphics cards drivers on both (Intel Graphics 5500 on spectre and 4000 on envy) that hasnt worked. I am using HDMI cable and have tried two diff HDMI cables with no luck.
I did see a post where someone suggested to make sure to use the correct HDMI port apparently there is a lower and upper port but I can't find the post to paste the instructions here in order to get an opinion if that solution might work for me.
Suggestions/help much appreciated.
Thanks

Each machine has its own HDMI out port. Connecting 2 HDMI out ports together won't give you anything if NOT damage both.
Hope this makes sense.
