Spectre x360 15-ch002nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have this notebook...  HP Spectre x360 15-ch002nc and I need to clarify, if it's capable for connecting a monitor 4k 60Hz HDR.

Notebook has these physical connectors:
1xHDMI

1x USB-A

2x USB-C

Processor Intel® Core™ i7-8705G  has two graphics...

Discrete graphics Radeon™ RX Vega M GL Graphics

DP 1.4, DP 1.4 w/ HDR, HDMI 2.0b, DVI Processor is capable

Processor Graphics Intel® HD Graphics 630

eDP 1.4, DP 1.2, HDMI 1.4, DVI

I tried DELL U3219Q that should be capable HDR. But HDR is not even detected. I tried DP and USB-C connectors.

Of course, drivers for DELL monitor were installed (there a various modes included HDR connection)

Internal display is capable to "Stream HDR video" only.

Unfortunately I didn't try HDMI port so far. But monitor has HDMI 2.0 only. HDMI 2.0a or DP 1.4 is minimum for HDR, so I see only chance to reach HDR via DP or USB-C port.

@dayslypper

Its specs clearly says USB-C Thunderbolt™ 3 (přenosová rychlost až 40 Gb/s, napájení, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) and its HDMI: v2.0 supporting: up to 4096×2160 at 60 Hz.

Regards.

This tells nothing about HDR capability. HDR should be possible at least at lowe resolutions and frequencies.
