HP Spectre x360 convertible Touchscreen issue

HP Spectre x360 convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchased the HP Spectre x360 recently and in general I am very happy with this ultra book.

There is however an annoying problem that randomly occurs. It seems like a ghost is touching the screen and it is not possible for me to continue working, unless I put the machine to sleep.

Please see below Youtube link:

Please could you advise what I could do!

HP Spectre x360 convertible Touchscreen issue

This is the same issue I had in this thread - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Spectre-x360-mouse-point-goes-wacky/m-...

I finally did the windows reset yesterday and it seemed to be fixed, but now it's starting to do it again.

HP Spectre x360 convertible Touchscreen issue

I finally resolved this (mostly). The issue is the touch screen. I updated the firmware and drivers for the touchscreen and that fixed it for a few days, then it started acting up again. I finally disabled the touchscreen in device manager and haven't had any issues. Of course I can't use the laptop as a tablet anymore, but at least it's usable as a laptop.I finally resolved this (mostly). The issue is the touch screen.
