Hi,
I have recently received my HP Spectre x360 i7 - privacy screen model, which I ordered through a local store. It does not have the privacy screen on the F2 button.
I am taking it back tomorrow. How do I know they are going to order the right model. I can't work it out from the HP website.
This will be the third time I have had to order this in.
Thank you.

If you are letting someone else ("they") place the order, there is always a chance of getting "their" interpretation of what you are trying to purchase.
Suggestions
You might start with the HP Store Customer Service Department in your region.
If you like, start your search at the Store based on your preferences (series / model type).
Cost might be a factor for you -- make sure your initial search is not overly restrictive lest the features you want are actually available in a more expensive model.
When you have some of the information in-hand about what you want, contact Customer Service to get additional help.
Example
https://www.hp.com/au-en/shop/contact-us
Reminder
The HP Store sells models within a series based on HP decisions about market, region, and features.
HP products and models sold at "not-HP" Stores might be different.
Not-HP stores might -- or might not -- provide the same range of features and options.
What else?
There are many HP Spectre x360 models -- you need to narrow down the search a bit to see if what you want is something that is available in the series and model .

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't have any restrictions to what I want to puchase.
I went to a store because I couldn't find the privacy function on the website. I'm beginning to think it isn't actually sold in Australia.

You are welcome.
Makes sense, I guess.
Not every option is available in every market or in every model.
Consider the business class machines, for example, the Elitebook, Probook, Zbook.
If you can afford the difference in price, the commercial systems are worth a look.
Good Luck.
