I am having an issue with multiple displays working with an HP ThunderBolt Dock. Below are the Specs and details. Below that will be troubleshooting steps that have been taken.
HP Omen 15-dc1054nr (Win11- 22H2 (64 bit)), Graphics (NVidi GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (driver- 31.0.15.5123)
Dock- HP Thunderbolt G2 230W (L25667-002) 2 monitors connected with DisplayPort
Monitors- HP E202 HP231
I have had the above laptop and monitors connected via an HP G4 dock (L13898-002) and the monitors and device worked as expected. The issue was that the G4 dock does not have enough power to charge the laptop and an additional power supply was required.
I have connected a Lenovo Tablet to the Thunderbolt Dock and the monitors will work with that device. This proves out the monitors work as well as the dock.
I have updated the OS as well as the video drivers for the laptop. I have gone into display settings as well as the NVida software to check on the multiple displays. The monitors are listed and show in the correct orientation. When I move the mouse the cursor does go off the screen as if they are there, but no display is present. The monitors are black (no display, not the color where they are powered up). The monitors also show an orange/amber light on the power buttons. I have tried turning them off and back on, but the monitors are still not detected. I have rebooted the laptop, as well as tried to connect the dock prior to booting, and also after booting. The monitors, laptop, and dock did work a hand full of times, but have not been working for a few weeks now. The dock does supply power, ethernet, and keyboard/mouse support for devices. I have installed the Thunderbolt software and it Controller 1, Port 1, Dock G2.
Let me know if additional details are required or any suggestions.
