Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15t-bp100 CT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The left hinge is broken or the lid has separated. Checking online, this is a very common problem so it must be a design or manufacturing defect yet I cannot find a service bulletin. This was an expensive laptop with all the options. It is out of warranty and the HP recommended repair center tells me that it is out of their scope. Please advise.
