Find the Camera:

  • Look under Imaging devices, Cameras, or Sound, video, and game controllers for your integrated camera. It might be listed as Integrated Camera, Webcam, or similar.

Update Driver:

  • Right-click on the camera device and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Windows Update

  1. Check for Updates:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

HP Support Assistant

  • If you don't already have it, download the HP Support Assistant.

Use HP Support Assistant:

  • Open the application and let it scan for updates and missing drivers.
  • Follow the instructions to install any recommended updates.

Manually Download the Driver

Visit HP's Support Website:

Install Generic Webcam Driver

If you cannot find the specific driver on the HP website, you can try installing a generic driver:

Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the camera device (if found) and select Update driver.

Browse My Computer for Driver Software:

  • Select Browse my computer for driver software.

Let Me Pick from a List of Available Drivers:

  • Select USB Video Device and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.

Reinstall Camera App

Sometimes, reinstalling the camera app can fix issues:

Uninstall the Camera App:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  • Find the Camera app and uninstall it.

Reinstall the Camera App:

  • Open Microsoft Store, search for Camera, and reinstall the app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
