Could someone please help? I'm simply a consumer looking to avoid getting ripped off for a third time.
When it comes to HINGES, How Do I Know A Trustworthy HP Model From a Bad One?

I'm looking to replace an HP that's less than a year old that exhibited hinge issues less than 2 months after purchasing it. I've gone through 2 different HP models due to hinge issues. So yes, Fool me twice, shame on me. I've shopped around for a different laptop brand to purchase as my THIRD replacement, but my need for a 17 inch screen and backlit keys leave very few options for anything other than an HP.

Does anyone know the exact faulty hinge models or builds that have the most problems? I need to know what to avoid so I don't get burnt by HP ever again. If the answers aren't available here could someone please point me in the direction of where I might find them?

Thanks for reading

Hi @2crackedframes,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
