HP Pavilion Notebook 15-bc5xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A fix horizontal green light has suddenly appeared on the screen of my HP notebook.

My notebook is relatively new and under warranty.

I have tried restart my computer, but its still there.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Check if the same happens in BIOS:

Tapping the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen is supposed to get you to the menu of options. Then select the F10 option to access the BIOS.

Check if this happens with an external monitor as well.

Let's update the BIOS: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629 and the graphics driver: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

The same thing happens in the BIOS

BIOS and Graphic Drive is up-to-date

Since it happens in BIOS too, this is hardware issue.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this.
